Lypressin is a hormone used to prevent or control the frequent urination, increased thirst, and loss of water associated with diabetes insipidus (water diabetes). Its molecular weight is 1056.2 Dalton having an amino acid sequence of Cys-Tyr-Phe-Gln-Asn-Cys-Pro-Lys-Gly-NH2. The Molecular Formula is: C46H65N13O12S2.
The CAS Number is: 50-57-7.
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized with no additives.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Lypressin in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Lypressin is also soluble in 1% Acetic Acid.
Store the lyophilized Lypressin between 2-8°C, do not freeze. Upon reconstitution Lypressin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Greater than 99.0% as determined by RP-HPLC.
