硫醇单一活化Cyanine3 dye。该染料用于向包含半胱氨酸残基的蛋白、多肽以及硫醇化的分子（比如含硫醇的寡核苷酸）标记Cyanine3荧光团（Cy3®的类似物）。 胱氨酸应该在标记前先使用TCEP（tris-carboxyethylphosphine）或其他还原剂进行还原反应。 使用Cyanine3 maleimide进行的标记反应是有选择性的，有效的。 我们推荐使用水溶的Sulfo-Cyanine3 maleimide标记抗体和其他敏感蛋白。
