Introduction
NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta (NFKBIB) is a member of the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family, which inhibit NF-kappa-B by complexing with, and trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on these proteins by kinases marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thus allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B, which translocates to the nucleus to act as a transcription factor.
Description
NFKBIB Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 380 amino acids (1-356 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 40.3kDa (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).
NFKBIB is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
NFKBIB protein solution (1mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
