Introduction
Homeobox C11 (HOXC11) is a member of the Abd-B homeobox family. The
homeobox genes encode well conserved family of
transcription factors that play a vital role in morphogenesis in all
multicellular organisms. HOXC11 is one of
numerous homeobox HOXC genes placed in a cluster on chromosome 12. HOXC11
attaches to a promoter element of the
lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. HOXC11 also takes part in early intestinal
development. An alternatively spliced variant
encoding a shorter isoform has been defined however, its full-length nature has
not been determined.
Description
HOXC11 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single,
non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 327 amino acids (1-304 a.a.) and
having a molecular mass of 36.1kDa. HOXC11 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus
& purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
HOXC11 protein solution (0.25mg/ml) contains 20mM
Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M UREA and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 80.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
