Description	The Sf21 cell line was cloned from pupal ovarian tissue of the Fall Armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda by Vaughn et al. The Sf21 cell line is highly susceptible to infection with Autographa california nuclear polyhedrosis virus (AcNPV baculovirus), and can be used with all baculovirus expression vectors. Because Sf21 cells have a large size they provide higher expression levels of some proteins.
