Super Broth Powder is a nutrient-rich bacterial growth medium used for microbiological culture, generally of Escherichia coli. It was developed by Douglas Hanahan in 1983. Growth of E. coli in Super Broth Powder results in higher transformation efficiencies of plasmids.  Super Broth supports the growth of logarithmic phase cells and results in higher cell densities versus traditional LB Broth media.

Application:

• Super Broth Powder is recommended for use in cultivating high densities of recombinant strains of Escherichia coli to increase the yield of plasmid DNA.
