A potent inhibitor of sirtuin 2 (SIRT2) (IC= 3.5 M). AGK2 is 15-fold more selective for SIRT2 than SIRT1 and SIRt3. Inhibition of SIRT2 rescued synuclein toxicity and modified inclusion morphology in a cellular model of Parkinsons disease.
