Rubiginone D2, isolated from the strain of Streptomyces sp. (strain Gö N1/5) exhibit potential vincristine-induced cytotoxicity against multi-drug-resistant tumor cells. 

Rubiginones feature the typical benzanthraquinone structure of the angucyclinone antibiotics, a growing class of secondary metabolites with remarkable biological properties.
