A high purity, lyophilized “Fraction V” powder derived from the plasma of USDA-inspected healthy animals, Bovine Serum albumin is isolated from other plasma protein products and lipids in a purification process including a modified Cohn/heat-shock procedure designed to inactivate proteases and other potential interfering enzymes as well as extensive membrane dialysis and filtration to minimize analytes that can cause background interference in sensitive assays. The membrane dialysis also inhibits the sensitive cell and microbial culture systems.
