Mesoporous Silica
Like sponges, mesoporous silica nanoparicles are able to adsorb a large amount of molecules dissolved in solution thanks to their high surface area; 5 g of MSNs possess the same surface area as an American football field. This high porosity can be controlled and it is possible to synthesize MSN with a particular pore size. This narrow pore size distribution can lead to nanoparticles that will adsorb in their cavity molecules within a specific size range, like advanced nanosponges. Their field of application ranges from catalysis to biomedicine where they are widely used as drug delivery system. Their high surface area, easy surface modification and biocompatibility are making them the material of choice for targeted delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients for cancer therapy among others.
MONODISPERSED 100 NM SILICA (MSN100R)
Monodispersed 100 nm mesoporous silica nanoparticles with radial pore structure can be used for the preparation of high quality and highly reproducible drug delivery systems (DDS) based on silica. The 100 nm size is considered to be ideal in order to evade the reticuloendothelial system (RES) and increase the blood circulation of the particles, this feature is particularly appreciated when targeting specific organs is of importance; these long circulating particles can also take advantage of the large fenestration of blood vessels around tumor for passive targeting of tumors.

MONODISPERSED 50 NM SILICA (MSN50R)
